Version 4.5 is coming this fall and, as reported in last week’s post, the modules that will be enhanced include Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchase Order, and Sales Order. We’ll touch on the PR, PO, and SO modules a little later, though. In this post, let’s review the new feature in Accounts Receivable: National Account Management.
The National Account Management feature in version 4.5 will enable the creation of National Accounts in the A/R module. This type of customer account will provide the ability to establish relationships between one National Account, typically a parent company, with multiple customer accounts, such as branches and subsidiaries. National Accounts will enable invoicing of the larger compay for goods and services provided to multiple locations, each with their own unique customer accounts. For example, these new features and functionality will give a distributor the ability to ship their goods to one customer, and invoice the National Account, rather than bill the “Sold To” customer account. This enhancement incorporates the Sage Extended Solution AR-1068 into the core MAS 90 and 200 program.
Next up, we’ll review the coming enhancements to the Payroll module. Teaser – that will be a much longer post!
